You may be trying to find that period caravan to match your classic car, restoring one passed down by parents, looking to holiday with a difference or simply have an interest in the past.  With any of these things in mind the Period & Classic Caravan Club has something to offer you.

We were founded in 1982 and are the longest running “Old” caravan club in existence.

Our aim is to be a friendly club promoting the appreciation, restoration and use of classic caravans.

Some may ask if we only have very old caravans in the club and the answer to that is no, we don’t just cater for very old vans.  In 1995 we decided to change the way we looked at classic caravanning and welcome all vans over 25 years old.

Don’t worry if you don’t own a classic or period caravan we do, also, actively encourage those who have an interest in nostalgia, with or without a caravan,  to join us.

Our members show their caravans around, not only, this country but also in Europe.  Being the foremost club in our field we have built up strong links with newly formed clubs in Holland, Belgium, Germany, France and USA.

Of course,  Classic Caravanning is  not  just  about  being on  show  all the time.  We like to arrange family camping weekends where we can get together and enjoy just using caravans as they would have been used in days gone by.

There is much to be gained from being a member of the PCCC: you will get, a bi-monthly copy of our newsletter “Hoot & Pass” with articles  about  historic  caravans, activities, International and National events, what’s happening within the club and much more.

We can help advise on those difficult areas of restoration and locating parts and materials.

Our club Historian can assist in identifying, dating and tracing the background to your caravan.

We   organise  our own  rally  each   year in  a  different   part  of  the country  awarding trophies to those members who not only present well turned out caravans but also enter into the spirit of the rally.

Throughout the year we are invited to attend steam rallies, car shows and country fairs and have a full programme from spring through to Autumn.

Finally, there’s a whole host of like-minded people out there for you to get acquainted with.
